Evaluation of central retinal vein occlusion by color Doppler imaging

Abstract

The central retinal vein and artery flow changes were evaluated using color Doppler imaging in patients with central retinal occlusion (CRVO). Forty patients with CRVO were examined with a 7.5 linear probe. The diagnosis was based on ophthalmoscopic examination, retinal and iris fluorescein angiography. The maximum and minimum flow velocity for veins, systolic peak, end diastolic flow velocity and resistive index for arteries were evaluated.
