Abstract
Objectives: The aim of this work is to evaluate if patients of different sex and ages learn oral preventive methods in different ways. Materials and methods: One-hundred and twenty patients in preventodontic iter of different sex and age were included in the study. Results: Remarkable results were obtained regarding both the effective reduction of bacterial oral flora and patient's compliance and learning, especially in the group of patients older than 10 years. Conclusions: Patient instruction and motivation allow to obtain optimal results in particular in patients aged more than 10 years.
