Abstract

A retrospective analysis of 135 gallstone patients treated with chenodeoxycholic acid (CDCA) (13-15 mg/kg/day; n = 63) or ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) (8-10 mg/kg/day; n = 72) for six to 24 months, was carried out to identify a set of prognostic factors that might favor gallstone dissolution. Two different statistical methods were used. the life-stable curves (univariate analysis) showed that age
