These experiments confirm earlier ones on the action of clonazepam on experimental neocortical epilepsy; it is not very effective in the focal manifestations of epilepsy but good in the control of generalized fits, wherever the excitatory focus may be. However more detailed comparison between this and earlier investigations seems to indicate that the drug is more effective with focal epilepsy, (between and during fits), which arise from the rhinencephalon than with that arising from the neocortex.
