Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Complete anastomotic deishence after sleeve resection is a dramatic and often fatal event requiring an extremely aggressive and risky treatment; completion pneumonectomy represents the sole effective therapeutic option to rescue the patient, but postoperative mortality after this procedure is high. We report a case successfully treated by extended redo carinal sleeve resection after full bronchial dehiscence. This option should be taken into account in such a complication, mainly in patient with compromised respiratory function.
