Abstract
Four cases of extrarenal angiomyolipoma, one infiltrating the wall of the inferior branch of the right pulmonary artery, two infiltrating retroperitoneal lymphnodes and one infiltrating perirenal fat, are presented. These and other similar observations in the literature should not give rise to confusion concerning the benign nature of angiomyolipoma but rather should be considered as 'benign metastases' similar to those observed in leiomyomas and endometriosis.
