Abstract

Prenatal and postnatal US allow the detection of brain injury. We present 4 cases of fetal intracranial hemorrhage (ICH); two fetal and 3 postnatal MRI were performed to confirm the US diagnosis: 2 intraventricular hemorrage, that resemble IVH of the prematurity, 1 middle cerebral artery infarction resulting in a porencephalic cyst occuping almost all the right emisphere, 1 severe hypoxic-ischemic insult leading to cerebral atrophy and fetal death. Prognosis of fetal ICH is related to brain damage.
