Topiramate efficacy in epilepsy and migraine is recognized, but deficits in language and attention functions after chronic topiramate therapy are documented too. The case of a child affected by migraine with and without aura and focal idiopathic epilepsy full controlled after topiramate therapy is described. Neuropsychological assessments before starting therapy and after 18 months show the absence of relevant modifications in cognitive abilities.
