Abstract

In this paper, the authors describe a statistical comparison between the frequency of the particular EEG pattern, already described in subjects with the fragile-X chromosome, in males and in females. The significantly higher frequency of this particular EEG pattern in males allows authors to suggest an X-linked mechanism of inheritance. Further molecular genetic studies are also suggested.
