Abstract
We report one case of gallbladder precipitates occurring during ceftriaxone administration in a young women. Such side-effect has been previously reported and described as sludge or stones. We propose the term 'gall-crystals' for these precipitates, because of their unique sonographic presentation, and of their crystalline morphology (10). In our case the precipitates disappeared spontaneously, after the ceftriaxone discontinuation, as already stated in the literature. We review the previously reported cases, with emphasis on the sonographic findings.
