Abstract
This work describes a computer-based tool used for the collection of clinical data for an epidemiological study of the gastroesophageal reflux disease. These data are being collected directly in the office of the general practitioners. The tool consists of a relational database and an object oriented interface and it is in use in the office of about 100 general practitioners to record data form patients suffering of upper gastrointestinal system diseases.
