The study purpose is to evaluate health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in patients with nocturnal frontal lobe epilepsy (NFLE) in comparison with the general population. We gave the 36-Item Short Form (SF-36) to a group of 31 patients. Our results suggest that NFLE constitutes a restriction on health-related quality of life, especially in domains pertaining to 1) patient's role in a family and social context, and 2) patient's illness experience.
