Hematopoietic growth factors expression in normal human phagocyte cells

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The regulation of the production and release of specific GPs by hemopoietic cells is still under investigation. In particular their role in the steady state control of hemopoiesis has always been open to discussion because no constitutive GF expression has been identified in any normal cell type. Our data indicate for the first time tissue macrophages constitutively express M-CSP, GM-CSP and IL1, suggesting that M-CSP, GM-CSP and IL1 production by monocytes is involved in the steady state control of hemopoiesis.
