Abstract

Since its introduction at the end of 80, clips placement has rapidly diffused in the world of flexible endoscopy. Initially used for the treatment of peptic bleeding, clip application was subsequently proposed for the endoscopic management of several gastrointestinal diseases. In fact endoscopic delivery of clips was found easy to apply and extremely safe without any risk of adverse event. Different types of both disposable and reusable clips are now available to be adapted to a wide range of clinical situations.
