Abstract

The authors maintain that radiotherapeutic damage to the ovaries by irradiation with reverse Y in patients who have undergone splenectomy for the staging of Hodgkin's disease is always high even when pelvic ovariopexy is performed, either with centralization or lateralization of the ovaries. They therefore propose their surgical technique of high abdominal ovariopexy.
