High quantum yield diarylethene-backbone photochromic polymer

Abstract

Using a proprietary method, a diarylethene backbone photochromic polymer (BPP) was synthesized. The resulting polymer was characterized by gel permeation chromatography (GPC). The thermal stability, quantum yields, and electrochemical properties of the BPP were determined. The polymer showed extremely high thermal stability and quantum yield.
