Abstract
The authors propose an experimental model, based on histomorphometric method, for the evaluation of reparative osteogenesis processes in partial bone defects. The authors agree that the use of the numerous experimental models out-lined in the literature for the study of reparative osteogenesis due to partial loss may reveal quite difficult. The diaphyseal trapanation model satisfies the experimental criteria by reducing the stress of mechanical nature.
