In this work we report the role of hysterescopy in the endometrium management as diagnostic and therapeutic procedure in women in postmenopause, especially in women submitted to hormone replace therapy (HRT) or in women undergo a therapy with tamoxifen. Hysteroscopy seems to be more sensitive and more specific then USG-TV, 7-K especially when is associated to biopsy with histologic sample. However USG-TV is the first method to value abnormal uterine bleeding in postmenopausal period. Both of them are accurate and mininvasive methods, but they have a sensitivity and a specificity near 100% when sonography arouses suspicion, hysteroscopy confirms and histologic findings make certain diagnosis. This routine may be used in the women submitted to HRT, symptomatic or no-symptomatic, and also in women undergo tamoxifen, in which this drug stimulates endometrium that results in a endometrium patology of different histologic changes.
