Abstract

IgA nephropathy and Schonlein-Henoch purpura nephritis are common renal diseases. Recent studies have provided new insights into the factors that contribute to the initiation and progression of renal injury. Approaches to therapy, although still limited and largely empirical, show some encouraging results.
