Abstract
This is the first case in the literature of solitary necrotic nodule of the liver in which clinical features and imaging are reported. On ultrasound the lesion was hypoechoic, hypodense on computed tomography. On magnetic resonance imaging, the signal was hypointense in T1-weighted images with an hyperintense ring in T2-weighted. On X-ray angiography, the lesion was avascular. The diagnosis was obtained by ultrasound-guided fine-needle biopsy. After 30 months, on US, the lesion was reduced in size with a mixed echo-pattern.
