Although rare immune-mediated complications of coeliac disease are believed to significantly contribute to worsen the prognosis and survival of adult patients with this condition, they represent a continuous challenge for the clinician because their dependence from a p re existing coeliac disease is often undemonstrable and their management rarely successful.
