Abstract
Myosins isolated from the biceps brachii of 5 cases of myotonic dystrophy, with varying degrees of type I fiber atrophy, were tested for immunological reactivity with antibody against rabbit LC1F light chain. The results, showing a diminished reactivity of these myosins, may be compatible with the interpretation that in myotonic dystrophy a population of type II fibers is present containing both fast and slow forms and/or hybrid forms of myosin.
