Abstract
We evaluated incidence and severity of exercise-induced ventricular arrhythmias (EVA) in 85 patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). We studied the relationship between EVA and angiographic severity of CAD; the effects of old age on EVA were also evaluated. 52 patients were <60 years old (Group A), and 33 were > 62 years old (Group B). EVA were more common in double and triple vessels disease patients than in single vessel disease patients. Abnormal left ventricular wall motion affects incidence and severity of EVA. Group A and B showed similar incidence of EVA. The severity of CAD, in particular abnormal left ventricular wall motion affects the incidence and the severity of EVA in CAD patients. Age does not influence EVA.
