Abstract

The influence of cancer chemotherapy on the biological activity of Antithrombin III (AT III), that is the primary inhibitor of blood coagulation, was evaluated in 79 female patients affected by different neoplastic diseases. Moreover, the functional AT III measured in these patients was compared with the AT III values obtained in 29 healthy female subjects. In 28 patients AT III biological activity was measured both before and under chemotherapy.
