Abstract

The influence of ofloxacin and pefloxacin on human myelopoiesis in vitro was investigated. Drug concentrations varied from 0.5 to 50 μg/ml, and the effect on granulomonocyte precursors was evaluated on cell cultures in agar. Our results indicate that ofloxacin and pefloxacin do not induce inhibition of myelopoiesis.
