Abstract
The intragastric of intraperitoneal administration of metergoline (2.5-10 mg/kg) stimulates dopamine (DA) synthesis in the rat and mouse brain. In vitro, metergoline blocks DA-sensitive adenylate cyclase and displaces H3-haloperidol from specific binding sites in striatal homogenates.
