Abstract

On the basis of recent reports on the effects of interferon on hemangiomas we used interferon alfa-2b therapy in a three month old child with extensive vision threatening facial hemangioma refractory to systemic corticosteroids. After nine months of therapy with interferon the hemangioma regressed almost completely. No regrowth has been observed after a follow-up of 13 months.
