Abstract
287 patients affected by HCV Chronic Hepatitis (C.H.) were examined in a multicentric retrospective study, sponsored by AMOI, about Interferon treatment. In 179 out of 287 (62.5%) histological diagnosis was C.A.H. Types of IFN more frequent used was recombinant IFNs (3 million three times a week for six months). We could consider 242 patients: 25 (10.7%) interrupted therapy before six months and 87 (36%) showed normal value of ALT at the end of the treatment. A second biopsy was performed in 25%, in these patients we observed 33% of them with improvements and 57% without variation.
