The authors report the case of a 67-yr-old woman with epithelioma of the external auditory duct. All the middle ear was invaded with peripheral facial paralysis. A temporal abscess is revealed by mental derangement. The intervention permits to evacuate a purulent collection under dura mater, to close the fistula and the extirpation of the abscess with a metastasis of the epithelioma in its edge. In spite of the complete recovery of the abscess, the patient died for local evolution of her cancer. The principal characteristics of external auditory duct's epithelioma and otogenous abscess are reminded; the origin and propagation of the tumor and the infection are discussed.
