Abstract
In order to contribute to the utilization of a broader strategy to discover the causes of multiple sclerosis but not to obtain an etiological confirmation, the authors conducted a study on anti-HTLV/I antibodies in 250 patients affected by clinically defined multiple sclerosis according to Poser's criteria. The results obtained in this study indicate that there is no association between HTLV/I antibodies and multiple sclerosis.
