Abstract

In this article the Authors present the literature concerning the relationship between language disorders and developmental psychopathology. Children with language disorders develop psychic symptoms and about half of children with developmental psychopathology is affected by language disorders. There is a correlation between specific linguistic patterns and specific psychic symptoms. Late talkers have behavioural problems and a shy temperament that remains even if the language improves. Linguistic therapy and psychotherapy are able to avoid an unfavorable evolution of both pathologic population.
