Local spin moment distribution in molecular nanomagnets V15 and Cr7Cd determined by NMR

Abstract

We have carried out nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) in two different kinds of molecular nanomagnets, the s=1/2 Heisenberg triangular antiferromagnetic V15 and the heterometallic open antiferromagnetic ring cluster Cr7Cd. From the observation of NMR signal from magnetic ions, local spin moments for each magnetic ion are directly determined and spin structures for the two nanomagnets in its ground state are revealed.
