Abstract

The authors report about the results of a study carried out on 30 pediatric patients with atopic dermatitis. The study assessed the efficacy and tolerance of a new corticosteroid molecule for topical use (alclomethasone dipropionate) comparing it with another corticosteroid molecule (flucortin butyl-ester). Alclomethasone dipropionate confirmed the data from literature and evidenced its efficacy and fast action. It was found to be, at the end of the study, superior to the reference corticosteroid agent. In all the cases, both agents were perfectly well tolerated both locally and systemically.
