Abstract
We retrospectively evaluated the waking and sleep EEGs of 25 patients with Unverricht-Lundborg disease. Background activity kept stable during the course of the disease; generalized paroxysmal discharges and photoparoxysmal response gradually disappeared with a significant difference after the first 15 and 10 years of disease respectively. As regards sleep EEG, a gradual disappearance of physiological sleep patterns was observed over the years.
