A case of malignant acanthosis nigricans in a patient affected by a non oat cell carcinoma of the lung is reported. One month after the pulmonary symptoms characterized by dyspnea and cough, hyperpigmented, velvety cutaneous thickening occurred on the axillae. Clinical and histologic features were consistent with the diagnosis of malignant acanthosis nigricans. After multiple schedules of treatment with chemotherapy a regression of the skin lesions was observed.
