Abstract
A case of mesenteric fibromatosis complicating familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) in a 26 year-old woman, operated 15 months before of a restorative proctocolectomy is presented. The etiopathogenesis of mesenteric fibromatosis and its relationship to FAP and Gardner syndrome are analyzed. The importance of a careful follow-up (clinical and ecographic screening) in order to discover as early as possible mesenteric tumors and to be able to perform a resolutive surgery is emphasized.
