Abstract

We have studied 120 pts, submitted to a surgical excision within the temporal lobe: the histological examination showed a mesial temporal sclerosis in 46 pts. General characteristics (even though 24 pts, 54,5%, presented febrile convulsions) and surgical results are not different between this group and the 'symptomatic' one.
