Abstract

Ileal metastases from lung cancer are a rare occurrence. A patient presenting with a large cell carcinoma of the right lung and an unexplained blood loss which recurred after right lower lobectomy is reported. Repeated endoscopic evaluations of the abdominal compartment were negative for bleeding sites. An exploratory laparotomy was indicated to achieve final diagnosis.
