Abstract

Many patients with hyperthyroid Graves disease require long-term therapy with methimazole and compliance is crucial for a successful result. We evaluated prospectively the effect of methimazole administered in single and divided doses on seruim thyroxine and 3,3',5'-triiodothyronine (triiodothyronine) concentrations and heart rate in hyperthyroid patients.
