The results obtained with miconazole in the treatment of a few cases of micotic infections are presented: 3 cases of mucocutaneous and visceral chronic candidiasis; 1 case of variable immunodeficiency with superimposed candidiasis; 1 case of bronchopulmonary aspergillosis 1 case of Candida albicans urinary infection in a child with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The drug proved effective in the oropharyngeal and enteric localization and in the urinary infection. As for the pulmonary involvement, the drug failed in the aspergillosis while it was effective in the child with bronchopulmonary candidiasis, treated intra-venously. The only side-effect which could be found was venous thrombosis, in all the cases parenterally treated.
