Abstract

A novel method is proposed for using scanning electrochemical microscopy to draw pre-defined patterns of reactive spots onto conducting substrates that may then be functionalized -ad hoc and at will -with any molecular species containing an amine or other nucleophilic group, including proteins and enzymes.
