Abstract

F4/6 Friend cells were chosen as a suitable system for investigating microwave induced bioeffects. A number of preliminary tests were carried out regarding the response of the cultures to conventional heating and to other stresses. Serum-free samples were exposed to pulsed wave or to continuous wave, or were conventionally heated. Comparison of growth rates showed an inhibitory effect due to pulsed radiation.
