Abstract

MR is able to depict anatomic details of the abnormality in hypothalamic-pituitary region. We report the results in 30 prepubertal, hypopituitary subjects, aged 6 months-14 years. We analyzed: the MR patterns and their distribution in the patients; the prevalence of 'birth traumas' in this group; the prognostic value and the ability to relate to clinical and hormonal data of the MR features.
