Abstract

We performed a previously unreported Voxal Based Morphometry study in patients with Autosomal Dominant Partial Epilepsy with Auditory Features (ADPEAF) and Idiopathic Partial Epilepsy with Auditory Features (IPEAF). Our study demonstrates that a multiparametric MRI study may disclose otherwise undetectable focal gray and white matter abnormalities in the temporal lobe of these patients. These abnormalities are consistent with a malformative rather than an acquired origin.
