Abstract

Focal seizures with poor or absent motor symptoms are often considered to be an expression of preminent involvement of frontal structures, but it is possible that the same ictal fenomenology arise from temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE). In this study, we analyzed anatomo-electro-clinical correlations in 4 patients, affected by TLE, who experienced seizures characterized by loss of contact without motor manifestations. The evaluation of data allows us to hypotesize a preminent involvement of neocortical structures.
