Due to the longer life expectancy and the increase in case of neoplastic diseases, greater attention has been directed to the management of the elderly cancer patients. It seems very important to make a global clinical assessment and a multidimensional/specialistic evaluation. So specific studies in the elderly must be performed in order to establish the treatment of elderly patients on a scientific basis. Although the clinical studies are still in progress, the focus on the neoplastic disease and aging is a better tool for the treatment of oncogeriatric patient furnishing guidelines about these aged patients.
