The authors present the radiological approach to the diagnosis and staging of neurogenic paraosteoarthropathies secondary to posttraumatic coma. While conventional radiology is useful in the diagnosis, CT is the method of choice in preoperative planning due to the better anatomical resolution. Bone scan is important in determining the activity and the prognosis of the disease.
