Abstract

Epilepsy is associated with infantile hemiplegia (IH) in 20-30% of patients and in one third of them evolves towards pharmacoresistance. Our population consists of 54 pz with IH, 34 of them with epilepsy followed for a long time (7yrs 10m) who can be divided in two groups (11 cases with intractable epilepsy and 23 in remission) relating to epilepsy outcome. The aim of this study is to evaluate the type of cerebral lesions in patients with epilepsy associated with IH and relation between lesions and epilepsy outcome. A statistical analysis (Fisher's test and χ2 test) has been performed.
