Abstract

We observed 9 children with cortical cerebral dysplasia: 7 cases with hemimegalencephaly (HE) and 2 cases with lissencephaly (LI). These patients performed visual, auditory and somatosensory evoked potentials studies, sometimes in a multimodal approach. The visual evoked potentials showed P2 delayed latencies in both HE and LI. In the former, the amplitude was also reduced. The somatosensory evoked potentials showed the absence of N20-P25 complex on the dysplastic side in the HE, while the N20 wave was present but delayed in the LI.
