Abstract
In cerebral palsy patients, severe motor deficits and communicative difficulties make it almost impossible to assess their real cognitive abilities. The common methods of examination are inadequate for this kind of patient; thus it is necessary to develop different administration methods and specific aids to make it possible for the patient execute the cognitive tasks proposed. In this study we made a neuropsychological evaluation of 8 patients with severe motor deficits and verbal impairments who were age matched with normal subjects. We used administration methods other than autonomous selection, compatible with the patients' clinical characteristics.
